Can a plumber install a radiator?

A plumber can install your radiator, but will need a gas safe accreditation if they’re to continue any additional work that affects your boiler. Our engineers are gas safe accredited to give you complete peace of mind that your heating system is operating safely and effectively.

Can you install a radiator in a conservatory?

If the radiator you have in your conservatory needs to be connected to the central heating in your house, you will be subject to building regulations.

This is because a conservatory is considered to be separate to your home and in turn requires a different heating system, so to connect your central heating system to your conservatory means that your conservatory becomes an extension instead and, in turn, building regulations will apply.

What are thermostatic radiator valves?

Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) control the temperature around an individual radiator by adjusting the hot water levels that flow through it. This is to give the user more control over the temperature of the room and, in turn, can be more cost effective than having all radiators operate simultaneously.

Can installing a new radiator affect the boiler?

In some situations it can. For example, if you’re adding more radiators to your heating system, your boiler may not be able to cope with the additional energy output.

We can advise you on the best way to manage your boiler output if you’re planning on adding new radiators to your heating system. Contact us today for more information.
