Replacement Taps

Dripping taps

Dripping taps can be a costly nuisance to homeowners. Did you know that on average, dripping taps can waste up to three gallons of water per day? This can run up your water bill unnecessarily.

Our expert team is on hand to check your taps for damage and replace anything that needs replacing to make sure that your taps work efficiently and water will not be wasted.

Replacement tap heads

If your tap head is broken or damaged, we offer a specialist tap replacement service to allow your taps to function efficiently again.

Replacement Taps

Tap Corrosion

Taps often naturally corrode over time and when they do, this can cause plumbing material to dissolve. Once this happens, taps will eventually stop functioning efficiently.

We can replace corroded taps with brand new taps fit for purpose.

Frequently asked questions

Why has the spout on my tap gone wobbly?

A number of things can cause a tap’s spout to wobble: the locking collar is loose, the spout’s tall height may make it seem more unstable or the o-rings are worn out.

Why get your taps replaced by an engineer?

If you’re in the middle of home renovations or your tap isn’t functioning as it should then a tap replacement will often be essential. A qualified engineer can replace your taps efficiently and securely as they have the skills and tools to do so.

Trying to replace taps yourself if you’re not experienced can end up creating more damage and costing you more as a result.

What is the difference between single and dual flow taps?

A single flow tap mixes water in the body of the tap and spout, providing a stronger and denser flow. These taps allow for an even temperature mix.

Dual flow taps were traditionally used in households and hot and cold water are separate from one another.

What is limescale and how do I get rid of it?

Limescale is a chalky white deposit that results from hard water. Some parts of the country’s water supply produces a lot of hard water and this includes the cities of Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle.

Limescale tends to gather around the spout and its base. It is possible to remove limescale using white vinegar and water but the longer limescale is left, the harder it is to remove.

DO NOT try to scrape limescale off as this can damage the tap’s surface. You should also avoid limescale cleaning detergents.
